Cats Rebound With Thrashing of Black Knights

The West Genesee boys varsity lacrosse team 2-0(6-1) bounced back from their loss on Monday with a 20-0 win over the Henninger Black Knights on the turf at West Genesee.

The Cats opened up a 6-0 first quarter lead, followed by a 7-0 run in the second to end the half with a 13-0 advantage. The first half saw senior midfielder and captain Luke Cometti score all four of his goals, followed by junior midfielder Matt McCabe with three and two from senior Matt Lebduska.

The second half had Lebduska netting his third and fourth of the day followed by senior midfielder Owen Alberts with two goals, in all 13 Wildcats registered at least one point. All three Wildcat goalies spent time between the pipes with seniors Steve Mahel having five saves, Alex Iannicello 1 and junior Kevin Grome with 1.
