The Proving Grounds features information and insight on the West Genesee JV, freshman and 7th & 8th grade programs at West Genesee and Camillus Middle schools. A total of 165 boys participated in and contributed to the continued success of the West Genesee lacrosse program in 2008. The future certainly looks bright for West Genesee beginning in the "Proving Grounds"!

West Genesee JV Lacrosse

Congratulations JV players and coaches on completing a great 2009 season at 15-1.

Much like the varsity team and head coach Mike Messere, the West Genesee Wildcat Junior Varsity program, coached by former Genny All-American Tom Donahue has a tradition rich history of its own. Donahue has now compiled an equally remarkable 418-21 record during his 28 seasons of coaching at West Genny. Look for Coach Donahue along with assistant coach Jim St. Croix to guide the Junior Varsity 'Cats in building on their success in 2010.

Look for Coaches Clark Martin and Steve Schultz to guide their West Genny freshman team through yet another successful season in 2008. Be sure to check out the stars of tomorrow as they compete this season and do former coaches Eric Howes at CMS and Rick Chapman at WGMS proud.
